The Pinewood Derby Race

Pinewood Derby
Caleb came in 3rd place in his ward.
It was a fun activity and the event
brought back many memories of Jim working with the kids on their cars
Click on the car to get more detail. Sam made a velcro guard
to protect the car. (no chance for it to roll off the table!)

Sea World
A storm was suppose to come in, but
the day turned out to be beautiful in every way.

Laura. Austin and I did not go down. Lucas and
Tyler were in the front seat by themselves.
Lucas had a terrifying experience and wanted
to go home. Eventually he survived and
grandpa promised to be more careful
when letting kids choose where they want to sit.

I believe there is a saying about kids like snails and puppy dog tails
It is TRUE

Listen to who wins this race.

San Diego park activities

The kids had some fun at the park. it
had stopped raining.

Poster for Fair

Lindsay 2nd Ward Preparedness Fair

Simple Sprouting was a hit. I am amazed at the number of people who are interested
in eating healthy.

Our First Preparedness Fair in our Building on Jan 17th. I tried taking pictures with my camera and realized I left the chip at home. Thanks goodness Val came prepared and Josh took some pictures. All my kids helped and that was so nice. We had over 19 booths and It felt good to have it over, but it also felt good because so many came from the ward and from personal invitations outside the ward. We put together a notebook also. Our Fair was called "Preparedness Matters....". We hope, everyone had opportunity to gain information and was motivated to add to their preparedness and storage in some small way.

Eating Navajo Bread

Guess what Disaster caused the

outcome shown by the picture

The city Policecame and supported us

also

Navaho Bread was made

fresh and so yummy.

Laura, setting up a table in the

entry!

A favorite was this bean display

and tasting of samples.

Sharon over Dry and Wet Pack

A friend from Washington moved to AZ

and we met up at the cannery!

Dry Milk was used for Yogurt making

Barbara Huist made so many dips, etc.

I just wish I wasn't behind a table. It would have been fun to

taste everything.

Don't forget to put together your

72 hr. kit

Even the city Fire Dept joined us!

Frame can hold 3

55 gal containers or you can buy

the 300 gal container. The 15 gal is

the blue one!

Bro. Newton explained how generators work

It was very informative. One of the guys told me afterwards he enjoyed

all the GUY activities

We had so many breads to sample.

Candi and Sophie are amazing.

Our Bishop came up and asked me about the next FAIR.

I said that it would be a while!

Even the Scouts showed how they are prepared on Scout trips.

Samantha Nielsen on the left is my great helper. She is on

my committee. I am most grateful to her and all the people who helped

at the booths. They were all awesome.

Caleb takes a break

Caleb enjoys this vibration chair for relaxation.

lego day with Jim and Sharon

Jim and I decided to have some fun with the grandkids, Caleb, Lucas and Tate. A new store opened at the mall called the Lego Shop. We were brave and left our wallets home! It was fun to see them run from one display to another. WE went for a bite to eat afterwards. Watch Tate as he takes each bite. Taking them out takes us back in time when our own sons loved Lego's.

Maybe that would be a safe stock option.
